Grant Russell
MB ChB FRACS
Grant is a specialist Urologist providing prompt consultations and short surgery wait times. A highly experienced Urologist with a passion for providing exceptional care. Grant completed his medical training at Otago University, followed by specialised Urology training at Wellington Hospital, Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and the Urology Institute in London. He now consults at various locations across the Greater Wellington area and is accredited at all major hospitals in the region.
With a particular focus on prostate health, Grant has developed expertise in prostate cancer and benign prostate conditions. He utilises advanced MRI and PET imaging, as well as MRI/Ultrasound fusion biopsy. Collaborating closely with radiologists and oncologists, Grant is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Grant is supported by an exceptional administrative team that allow him to offer urgent, clear guidance and expert care at every step.

Carolyn Simpson
Practice Manager
Carolyn joined the team at Capital Urology in 2000 after working on the Kapiti Coast in various medical roles. Following a move to Australia where she worked in a very busy specialist practice as Practice Manager, she returned to Capital Urology. Carolyn thoroughly enjoys patient contact and her role in practice administration. She strives to make the surgery booking process simple and stress-free.
Linda Cunningham
Practice Assistant
Linda brings to Capital Urology a wealth of experience in direct patient contact. She has worked on the ‘frontline” in busy specialist practice for over 30 years. Linda continues to thrive on the interaction with our patients and her extensive people skills facilitate a smooth and uncomplicated journey with our specialist practice.
Pam Kavanagh
Finance Administrator
Pam has had a long career working in the medical profession and medical administration and commenced at Capital Urology as Practice Manager. In recent years she has taken on the roll as Finance Administrator, liaising with our patients and insurers and other health providers to minimise the stresses associated with the surgery approval process and funding.
